The Boston University Shuttle (The BUS) ferries students between this campus and the Medical campus keeping it easy for students to remain connected between the two sites.

The campus size in total is 175 acres and has sports facilities including FitRec, complete with weights rooms, swimming pools, climbing wall, etc, and also the Agganis Arena where students can witness the Terriers play hockey. More than 2 million materials are on hand at the Mugar Memorial Library as well as special collections from Abraham Lincoln, Dante, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Startup Business Support

There are a few avenues into entrepreneurship at Boston, the main one being Innovate@BU where students are provided with countless resources and staff support, from ideation, design, prototyping, marketing, etc.

BUild Lab at IDG Capital Student Innovation Centre is a space where students can receive mentorship from the talented staff there who have come from all industries and can now impart their knowledge and expertise onto the next generation of entrepreneurs. It’s a great place to mingle with likeminded students and university partners who are on the lookout for new talent and ideas.

Boston’s alumni of 400,000 graduates has spawned many entrepreneurs who have triumphed in their fields and with the rigorous academic approach and incubation facilities on campus it is easy to say why so many have turned to entrepreneurship.

Research And Development

Boston University has an incredible reputation in regards to its research output with the university being awarded $574 million in research awards. This money is spread well throughout the academic tree, including undergraduates in high-end research opportunities.

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme (UROP) has seen more than $1 million in funding which has enabled hundreds of undergraduates the chance to explore the widest breadths of academia in assisting their professors in their research. Many universities keep the full plethora of research opportunities for its postgraduate population but Boston’s inclusion of undergraduate research opportunities has made it a top destination for ambitious students, ranking #32 among undergraduate research/creative projects (US News & World Report, 2021).

Student Life

Boston is a city with so much to offer students, with its storied past in the tapestry of American history to its international and modern feel, with the university itself ranking #7 in Forbes’ top US colleges for international students.

There are over 450 clubs and organisations that are student-led, from Anime Club to Zen Community. Or if sports is something that is close to your heart then Boston has over 40 intramural and club sports for students to take part in or cheer on, and the Terriers who play at the Agganis Arena will give you something to talk about.

This university is at the highest end of education, not only nationally but globally, and it is easy to see why with seemingly endless dedication and detail poured over every aspect of life at university.

Academically, it ranks very highly and subjects are taught by professors and academic staff who have achieved the most they can; its research opportunities extend to everyone and anyone without exclusion with excellent funding. Perhaps most of all, it is the quality of the work-ready graduates who emerge from Boston that impresses.
